It's Been So Long!

It's like I don't even know you anymore! 

Sorry followers :(

It's just been nuts around here! 

All for good reasons, which is awesome, but it's time we catch up!! Wouldn't you say?? 

I gave this little office/buffet/bar a makeover....

It used to look like this:

....and I was over it. So, out came the black paint!

Notice the campaign hardware?? It's NOT real! I had to paint those little corner brackets on. Once I realized that there was NO WAY on God's green earth that I was going to make them arrive in four days (which was when I needed them for a special little photo shoot) I had to get creative!

So, now the buffet/office/bar has a more glamorous look and the best part..it cost $0!! I borrowed the paint and stole the two top drawer pulls off of another piece and voila! Camera Ready!

Also, A client and I discovered a most awesome architectural selvage place!

and it's updated constantly! if you're lucky you might even get to see a picture of where the piece came from.

A client and I went there looking for a cast iron mantle and we found one!!

19th Century, Victorian era fireplace mantel from a Chicago mansion that was built before the great Chicago fire. WHY didn't I know about this place BEFORE we refinished our mantle??? 

I can't even wait to install this baby!

I LOVE places like these... Even MORE than wine and chocolate!
