FABULOUS TEN DOLLAR FIND!

I found this chair today at the local Goodwill for $10! The chair itself is in great shape, but the fabric is not doing so good. It is yellowing in some spots and just looks down right dingy!

I have some ideas on how to spiff this thing up a bit.

First, the fabric must go or be covered with a slipcover. Then, I was thinking of adding some slightly dramatic and taller legs to add some height to the chair. Lastly, maybe I can add some over abundant fluff to the cushion so that it looks a little more cushy for my tushy!

I'm having trouble deciding on the fabric! This is where you come in! Let me know what you think. Here are some hints about our bedroom where this fabulous find shall live: The wall color is the blue that you see, our bedding is all white, and I have an overall feeling of light airiness going on, with a subtle hint of a beachy theme (sandy colored carpet, some interesting sea shells, and a capiz shell pendant fixture...nothing extremely literal), and a lovebird romantic feeling as well. I know it may seem like a lot, but it's really a very simple room.

So have it! Leave me some comments and some links that inspire.

Thanks for stopping by! I can't wait to hear what you think :)

  1. I don't know why but I am a big fan of paisley (masculine paisley, if there is such a thing. When buying ties I am drawn towards paisley designs). I think it can be subtle or dramatic and there are so many color options.

  4. We will be in Vegas visiting family until Sunday evening. Nick might have to travel to Texas soon! I told him to take Bailey and drop her off in your pool with some floaties! Maybe I will tag along and come live in your pool too!
