Keeping the gender of your baby a secret can be fun.
For this nursery we kept the palette clean with gray and white and then added some fun pops of yellow.
The ceiling is one such pop!
We were so EXCITED when the client agreed to go with a yellow ceiling!
The color we went with is "Daisy" by Sherwin Williams.
A fun mix of patterns for the bedding.
Floating shelves with brass hardware....
.....lots of books, and a collection of owls.
Plenty of extra storage for babie's little keepsakes....
One of my favorite accessories, Jonathan Adler bookends!
And the cutest little shoes put on display!
One side for a boy and the other side for a girl....
I want this pretty little pair in the middle to come in my size!
And thanks to my husband and his handy work, a floating birch branch..
I love that man!
Above the dresser we installed a custom painted alphabet from AlphabetBoutique123 on etsy.
They come unfinished and you can paint them however you want.
We chose to do all white fronts and then paint the edges of the letters in coordinating colors.
Believe it or not, painting these innocent looking letters took a crew of three people. It was a lot of work! We formed an assembly line at my dining room table. Each person was designated a color and a group of letters. It was intense!
Helpful letter painting hint: Use a foam brush.
They are stiff and therefore easier to control and the chisel tipped edge will help keep the edges clean.
Since the client's last name starts with a "V", it had to be different from the rest.....
My Mom is an expert polka dotter!
That about wraps up this nursery tour.
If you need me, I will be curled up in that comfy gray chair reading this book....
.....learning the ways of the Good Mother! :-)
Have a fabulous week everyone!
