A fabulous oval frame!! My framer LOVES cutting oval glass!! Or not. Maybe I will give the dude a break and do something creative with the frame and save him the trouble....we shall see...
A pressed aluminum tray with these lovely handles....
There were soooooo many things I wanted!!!! Alas, cash = reality :(
AND I am FAH-REAKING OUTover Tricia Guild's book, Colors, Patterns, and Space...
It is theeee most inspiring design book I have EVER laid my eyes upon!! I completely admire her daring sense of style and roaring passion for color and pattern. I mean, not every designer has the guts to just throw mismatched drapery panels, mismatched lamp shades, and several different styles into one space! But, Tricia, she don't cur. She just does what she wants. She is woman. Hear her roar!!
I hereby pronounce Ms. Guild my design hero!! Errrrr, I mean heroine!! And actually "heroine" is more appropriate because this book IS MY heroin. I think it may even be better than heroin....I wouldn't know.... I'm just say'in. The only difference is that I didn't have to steal and/or murder anyone in order to get this book.
Anywho, this summer, I seriously encourage you to emerse yourself into the fun worlds of estate sales and Tricia Guild. You can't really go wrong....unless you do find yourself needing real heroin. In that case, I had nothing to do with it!!!
Our living room is coming along and I had to share a little peek!!
Have I mentioned how much I love this sofa?? It is even better than I imagined! It's more comfy than my bed....and that could be a problem. I actually stole these throw pillows from Bailey's room, so these are not the "official" pillows, but they are close to what I am planning. You get the idea, right?
My favorite thing to do on the new sofa is to curl up with my iPad and watch my favorite shows or check out all of your fabulous and inspiring blogs!!
I have added some necessary touches of pink!
I just wish that the ranunculus would live forever!
I must give a shout out to my awesome hubs, who has been extremely supportive of my love for pink. I mean, how many guys do you know that would be ok with having pink in their house?!?! Not many, right?
I think the fact that he is VERY color blind might have something to do with it.
BUT I did recently ask him if painting a wall pink would be going too far, and he said it definitely would be. I think he drew the line after seeing the pink pillows and the pink flowers, and the pink iPad cover, and, well, the list goes on. I can't say that I blame him :)
There is more coming soon!! I can hardly wait to get some things finished and posted!! I went to a great estate sale this week and I have some loot to share! Don't you just love estate sales?!?!

I was honored to incorporate this beaded clutch into my client's family room. It is a perfectly timeless piece that holds significant meaning, while adding a personal layer of sparkle to the space. This is the reason that I LOVE what I do!
More on this fabulous space to come!!
P.S. I'm still working out the bugs in my blogger app for my ipad, so hang tight with me and just ignore the randomly published, unfinished posts!
My birdie chair is back with a brand new slip cover!
I love it!!
I also love that it's washable!
Now I just need one more for the other end of the table.
The house is starting to feel more and more like a cozy little cottage!
The slip cover was custom made for me at Paper Dolls Interiors, located in Lake Geneva, WI. Their seamstress did an amazing job!
The Dining/Living room is starting to come together! The sofa for the living room will be arriving this weekend! I thought I had another month to wait. I love it when happy things come earlier than expected!
I'm also creating a plan for this...
a vintage Mademoiselle magazine from 1937.
AND hopefully this one too...
I just need to find one more! I know there are prints out there, but I want the real deal, and I know it's out there...somewhere. I found the first one pictured above at a magazine dealer, but the search is still on for either one of the bottom two, or ANY really. Who am I kidding?? I'd take any of them!
I'll keep you posted on my search. If you know of a dealer with some great vintage issues feel free to drop me a line!
I was picking up Bailey's room at last night and all of a sudden I wanted to do a room design based on the mess that was one the floor! It was such a fabulous mess. I don't get to say that very often!
Here is a more organized reenactment of the inspiration that laid all over Bailey's floor.....
(clothes and shoes from Old Navy...jewelry from J.Crew)
If I could have, I would have immediately started decorating a room based on these colors and patterns....at midnight!! Does that happen to you? It's ridiculous! And then I can't sleep because I start dreaming up ideas for this "room" that doesn't even exist. My husband just shakes his head.
I need this room to exist!
Can you see a sweet little dresser painted in a bright coral or teal?? And a little chair painted yellow?? AND pillows with coral bows and vintage floral drapes??
And some flower-y coral pillows....a polka dotted duvet and striped sheets??
