Breakfast at Tiffany's Baby!

I have daydreamed of re-creating this mask for YEARS!!! YEARS I TELL YOU!! Now this fabulous girl, Mary Green, has gone and done it and I have to say, it looks WAY better than the one I was gonna make!

You can buy one here:http://www.marygreen.com/product/breakfast-at-tiffanys-silk-satin-sleep-mask-1384.cfm

AND this mask does NOT cost a gazillion dollars as I had feared. (oh dearest hubby...my birthday is coming!)

I can hear Moon River in my head...

Mooooon Rivvvvver, wider than a mile,
I'm crossing you in style some daaaaay.
Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker,
wherever you're going I'm going your way.
Two drifters off to see the world.
There's such a lot of world to see.
We're after the same rainbow's end--
waiting 'round the bend,
my huckleberry friend,
Moon River and me.

This has made for quite a fabulous Tuesday for me! I hope it helped your day to be more fabulous too!

Some Awesomeness from Jessica Bailey

Just wanted to share a few little things that are making me VERY happy on this lovely Monday.

My fabulous pretend sister, Jessica Bailey, has been working hard on several freelance projects, one of which includes a business card and letter head design for my interior design and home organization business....Kelle Dame Interiors

I am pretty excited about what she created for me.

You can see more of her beautiful work here: http://jessicaraebailey.blogspot.com

She is AMAZING and she has captured my personality and taste perfectly in these two logos. If you are in need of some branding Jessica just might be your girl.

Once these puppies are all printed it's GAME ON WAYNE!!

Hope you are all having a Happy Monday

How about Framboise for a paint color?? It is that DELICIOUS Fuschia color that is calling your name from the inspiration board.

It is quite possibly the color of the closet I am working on for Buddy Holly and Ms. Jolie.

I mean, just say it. [frɑ bwahhhh]

Do you not feel super fancy when you say that word? Wouldn't you feel super fancy if you walked into your closet and you knew that that was the name of the paint color on your walls?

Look how these ladies are workin it framboise style

Conde Nast

Here are some pretty convincing interiors that are just sealing the deal for me:

Some orange and raspberry perhaps?

So, what is Framboise anyway??

It is the fabulous French word for raspberry. OR Frambozenbier, a Belgian lambic beer that is fermented using raspberries. I think that since this color has a direct correlation with beer that it should be suitable for the likes of a man as well. It's pretty simple. Framboise=Beer=Man

Recently, Framboise has become popular outside of Belgium, and can now be found in pubs and supermarkets all over the world. I'm gonna try it. I am also gonna try it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream in it. Thats right. Don't laugh.
I'll bet who ever laughed at the root beer float guy isn't laughing anymore :)

I thought I would leave you with these...

Macarons Chocolate et Framboise

Can't wait to show you this closet! We start in late September and this is gonna be fun :) Hope you are having a fancy framboise kind of day.

Black Walls

The article on Flair in the latest Lonny added some major fuel to my black room fire! Lucky for me I am working on a black bedroom for my friends Paul and Diana, a.k.a Buddy Holly and Angelina Jolie. My excitement for this room is now nearly explosive! Watch out!

I mean just look at this place....

Can someone please help me attach my jaw back onto my face?!

These pieces were some of my favorites and couldn't resist sharing. Now all I have to do to attain one of these lovely items is use some of the black paint from the room and smear it on my face so that I can rob a bank and not be identified. That's all.

So....why go black?

Black walls create an intimate environment and provide crispness and elegance.
Paired with white trim a black room references classical architecture and acts as a dramatic contrast. Black and white combined are timeless and versatile. With black as a backdrop you can mix and match items from any time era. I am especially loving brass antiques against a black wall. Whether it be an old brass pharmacy lamp or a tinged with time brass frame.

Would you go black?

Bathroom Makeover

Here are some snippets of a bathroom I have been working on. The goal was for the room to feel luxurious, clean, and relaxing. We replaced the tile with this slate look alike and went with a diagonal pattern. It makes this smaller bathroom feel bigger. I love it and the home owners love it too!

There will be more to come in the next week as I finish it up!

I like to ask clients if they have anything special that they have hidden away somewhere that they would like to see come out and be displayed in the room. For this project the client, Debby, had a little compact mirror and comb that was given to her by her mother-in-law. She loves the set and for years it has been put away. Now it's on display where she can see it and love it every day.

Happy Thursday!

For Fun Friday

Just for fun...remember this little installment for my front hallway:

I decided that since my daughter has discovered her inner artist that I should change the focal wall into "Bailey's Art Wall"

Here is how I changed it up to feature some of her summer pieces:

How fun is that?! I want her to know that everything she creates is special and what better way than to make a feature out of it?

The coolest watermelon ever!

Who says the colors of the rainbow have to go in order. Not Bailey. Already a rule breaker!

She likes to paint her face too...

P.S. We call those pants she is wearing her 'Where's Waldo pants' :)

Hope you have a fun Friday!
